The Gold Coast Titans have kicked off the 2021 NRL season in style, with a lavish launch party at The Star Gold Coast.
Coach Justin Holbrook and his team mingled with nearly 500 members and partners overnight, as they celebrated the start of the much-anticipated new footy season.
The evening was hosted by Fox League’s Yvonne Sampson, who spoke alongside Titans CEO Steve Mitchell and Chairman Dennis Watt.

The energy in the room was at an all-time high, as the players and their fans expressed their hope and excitement for the season ahead.
“During the off-season, Justin Holbrook arranged for a giant photograph of a packed Cbus Stadium to be placed on a wall of the players’ gym,” Mr Watt said in his address to the room.
“It is a daily reminder to players and staff that what we are doing here is about something far greater than ourselves… We want to pack the stadium and turn it into a fortress against visiting teams.
“But equally our team is playing for all the people in this room – our members, our sponsors, our fans, our families and for all those who support us in this great and historic rugby league heartland.
“Through high standards, exceptional effort and relentless energy, our goal is a simple one: To make you proud that the Gold Coast Titans are your team.”
Coach Justin Holbrook echoed similar sentiments, admitting he just wants his team and club to be “proud”.
“I want everybody to walk around with their head held high,” he said.
“The players can feel that now as they walk around the city and I want them to have that.
“This whole region loves rugby league and they have been waiting for a reason to enjoy that again… We have hope and anticipation for the season and that is a good thing.”
The Titans will kick off their season with a round one clash against the New Zealand Warriors on March 13.
