Gold Coast Titans list ‘close-to-full-strength’ side for final trial match

The Gold Coast Titans have released their squad for Saturday’s final trial match against the Broncos.

New recruit Sam Lisone is coming straight into the starting team, joining a host of big guns in what they’re calling a ‘close-to-full-strength’ side for the match at Dolphin Stadium.

Lisone came to the Titans from the Warriors for the 2020 season, and will start in the front row alongside Origin star Jarrod Wallace and Nines captain Mitch Rein.

Rein has beaten Nathan Peats and Erin Clark for the first crack at the No.9 jersey.

A few precautionary sit-outs ahead of round 1 though, with AJ Brimson still recovering his back, Shannon Boyd his shoulder and Moeaki Fotuaika his knee.

Phillip Sami will move to fullback, with Anthony Don and new recruit Jonus Pearson creating a new combination in the back-three.

Tyrone Roberts has recovered from an ankle injury picked up while playing in the All-Stars match to reunite with Ash Taylor in the halves.
