The Gold Coast Titans are waking up this morning as Queensland’s best side, after their defeat of the Cowboys last night.
They thrashed the North Queensland side 44-8 in Townsville, off the back of their win over the Broncos the week before.
The Cowboys were without skipper Michael Morgan, who could be forced to retire due to a shoulder injury.

While, the Titans were missing Ash Taylor, with Tanah Boyd stepping into the five-eighth role.
Corey Thompson and AJ Brimson are being hailed for their performances, but Coach Justin Holbrook says he was very pleased with the whole team’s effort.
“Obviously feels good, I thought the boys played terrific tonight.
“It was a tremendous performance from everyone.
“We’ve come home with a good win, obviously really happy with how we played,” Holbrook said post-match.
North Queensland Coach Todd Payten says it was a pretty disappointing show from his perspective.
“We just really lacked effort and drive and I don’t think we competed hard enough for long enough.
“The scoreboard reflected that and when things have gone against us we haven’t handled it well at all,” Payten said.
The victory moves the Titans up into the top four, after just three rounds of the NRL 2021 season.
