The Gold Coast Titans are back in the winner’s circle, and in a big way.
The Titans smashed Canberra 44-6 in a freezing Raiders territory overnight to equal the biggest win in the club’s history and equal most points scored.
The men in blue well and truly put their previous four-game losing streak behind them as they ran riot over the Raiders even with one man down.

Gun forward David Fifita was sin-binned in the 29th minute for a late hit on Canberra’s Sam Williams, but it only added fire to the Titans who scored three tries while down to 12 players.
“It didn’t help us but we didn’t let it affect us and we’ve been working really hard at things like that, overcoming adversity or changing momentum which we haven’t been able to do well in the past,” Holbrook said.
“We got it right tonight and handled it well tonight as a team and defended well as a team and we had to.
“We’ve been guilty of not handling things well and trying to change things ourselves and today we stuck together, and a number of players played as well as they could.”

Holbrook also credited the win to the return of star fullback AJ Brimson and Corey Thompson, who have been sidelined for the past few weeks due to injury.
“It was terrific having him back, absolutely – just having AJ back, Corey Thomson (was) brilliant again, and Proctor.
“It was an extremely important game for us tonight to get the two points and play as well as we did, we will get a bit of credit back from our own club and our own fans.”
The Titans now have a week off, before taking on the Parramatta Eels on July 16.
