Gold Coast tradie says ‘no more overtime’ after Gold Lotto win!

A hardworking Gold Coast tradie has declared he won’t be working overtime or on weekends anymore after winning division one in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.

The Runaway Bay man was one of 13 division one winners nationally who each took home a prize of $329,266.60.

The man’s System 8 marked entry also saw him win other divisional prizes, taking his total windfall to a whopping $340,784.65!

The win continues the Gold Coast’s amazing winning streak, with it being the fifteenth division one win for the region so far this year.

“It’s unbelievable!  Friggin’ unreal!” the man exclaimed when his win was confirmed.

“I know it’s real but I just don’t know what to think!

“I work pretty hard so it’s very welcomed. I won’t be working weekends anymore – I know that.  I won’t be working any overtime at all ever again!”

The happy man explained that while he marked his winning System 8 entry, he didn’t use special numbers and was “just winging it when I did it”.

He realised he had won yesterday while checking his ticket at home, and has already decided how he is going to spend his Gold Lotto windfall.

“I’m going to buy a boat that’s for sure!” he laughed.

“Then I’m probably going to have to buy a house – that would be the smart thing to do!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his System 8 marked entry from Broadbeach Oasis News at the Oasis Shopping Centre in Broadbeach.
