A tireless and popular community worker, Cr Dawn Crichlow is everything a Gold Coast Treasure should be.
The fun loving 73-year-old, who has been the face of Southport for 25 years, is set to run once again for the division 6 at the upcoming local council election.
She is currently patron of countless Gold Coast organisations, including sport, swimming, gymnastics, music and community-based groups.
Prior to being elected to Council in 1991, Crichlow had an interesting and varied career in taxidermy, racehorse training, quarter horse breeding, as well as owning and operating florist shops, hair salons, a barbershop, children’s only hair salon, sandwich bar, and boutique fashion stores.
