The Gold Coast Turf Club has locked down a senior racing official as its new Racing Manager.
Queensland steward Ian Brown will join the team in June, after a decade of serving as a senior steward with Racing Queensland and the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission.
Gold Coast Turf Club Chairman Brett Cook says they’re delighted to have recruited the services of such a highly regarded racing official to assist with their future master plan.

“Ian is highly regarded in the racing fraternity and has a depth of industry knowledge.
“One of his first key jobs will be to look after racing integrity and make sure our local industry participants are protected.
“His appointment fits within our long-term strategy and the master plan that we have in place for the Gold Coast which includes planned track upgrades and opportunities for night racing,” Mr Cook said.
Mr Brown said he was delighted to join an innovative organisation that is growing rapidly, with bright and prosperous plans for the future.
“I’ve really enjoyed the regulatory role over the last 10 years but it’s time for a new challenge.
“It’s an exciting time for the Gold Coast Turf Club and I’m looking forward to assisting the club implement its grand plans,” Mr Brown said.
