Gold Coast tyre shop goes up in flames after car rams roller door

Investigations are underway after a wheel and tyre shop went up in flames in Upper Coomera early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the business along Dalton Street around 4.40 am where they found smoke issuing from the building.

Three fire crews were quick to extinguish the blaze and luckily no one was injured.

Police are now investigating with early inquiries showing the blaze may have been deliberately lit.

A black Range Rover with no plates is understood to have reversed into the roller door.

Nothing seems to have been stolen and the vehicle drove off from the scene and remains at large this morning.
