The Gold Coast has well and truly had its coldest morning of the year so far with temps plunging across the city.
The Seaway dipped to just 9.6 degrees just before 7am, but it felts more like 6.6 degrees.
Coolangatta got down as low as 7.2 degrees just after 3am.

Tamborine Mountain and Canungra both fell to just 3.8 degrees but the feels like temperatures were more like 2 degrees.
It’s not as bad as the Darling Downs where the mercury dipped below zero with Stanthorpe and Applethorpe hitting -1.5 degrees.
Despite the chilly start, the Gold Coast is in for a fairly pleasant winter’s day with partly cloudy conditions, light winds and a top of 19.
There is a chance of showers late on Friday and early on Saturday but the sunny weather will continue after that.
However, we’re being warned of another chilly blast heading our way next week.
Morning temps will get down to 10 degrees on Tuesday and just 9 degrees on Wednesday.
