A water treatment plant has been evacuated on the Gold Coast this morning following the discovery of an ‘unexploded device’.
Emergency crews swooped on the Jacobs Road treatment plant in Molendinar after the device was found around 9.30am.
The Explosive Ordinance Response Team was then deployed to the site.

It’s understood the device has since been deemed as ‘no risk’.
