A Gold Coast businessman jailed for unlawfully killing his estranged wife six years ago will launch an appeal.
John Chardon, 72, was last month found not guilty of murder but guilty of the manslaughter of wife Novy.
She disappeared from their home at Upper Coomera in February 2013 amid a bitter divorce battle.

Her car was found abandoned at Nerang train station several days later but her body has never been found.
Chardon was jailed for 15 years for Novy’s manslaughter but has maintained his innocence.
He is set to challenge both his sentence and conviction.
