A Gold Coast woman has been charged with two separate drink-driving offences after she was stopped twice by police in northern NSW overnight.
Officers noticed a blue Mercedes Benz, bearing QLD registration, stopped on the side of the Gwydir Highway at Inverell around 11.00pm.
Police stopped and spoke with the driver, a 30-year-old woman from Labrador, before conducting a breath test which returned a positive result.

The woman was arrested and taken to Inverell Police Station, where she allegedly returned a high-range reading of 0.171.
However it wasn’t long before police discovered the woman had already been detected driving with a mid-range PCA of 0.115 at Tenterfield about 6pm earlier the same day.
The woman has now been suspended from driving in NSW and the keys of her Mercedes Benz have been seized by police.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Tenterfield Local Court on Thursday 28 January 2021.
