Gold Coast woman who had sex with dog appealing conviction after losing blue card

A Gold Coast woman who committed bestiality on a dog is appealing her conviction after losing her blue card to work with kids.

The woman, aged in her 20s, received two years probation and a recorded conviction after pleading guilty to bestiality in Southport District Court last year.

The woman was filmed having sex with a dog, believed to be a terrier, after answering an online craigslist ad from a man looking for a woman to perform sex acts.

It’s alleged the woman had intercourse with the man, before having sex with his dog.

The woman is now appealing her conviction, after her blue card  to work with children was suspended due to her criminal record, meaning she was unable to gain employment in her desired field.

The woman did not appear in court yesterday, with her legal team acting on her behalf.

The Court of Appeal reserved its decision.
