Gold Coaster charged over fraudulent finance brokerage company

A Gold Coast man has been arrested and charged, accused of running a massive fraudulent finance brokerage company.

Following a three month long investigations, the 51-year-old from Hope Island was arrested this morning, after police executed a search warrant at his home.

They allegedly found numerous computers, printers and telecommunications equipment.

Police have charged the man in relation to ‘major fraud offences’ allegedly committed through the company ‘Citi Private Capitol’.

He’s facing one count each of carrying on the business of committing fraud and disobeying a lawful order.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Meantime, investigations are continuing and detectives are keen to speak to anyone with any information.
