Gold Coaster Mick Fanning has helped rescue a fellow surfer who was seriously hurt in a wipeout at Hawaii’s North Shore.
American Evan Geiselman was reportedly unconscious after he went under, with lifeguards racing to the aid of the 22-year-old surfer.
Fanning was on the beach when the incident occurred, paddling out to help lifeguards bring Geiselman to shore.

Geiselman was rushed to hospital but reportedly has no serious injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
Fanning is just two days away from competing at the Pipeline Masters which will decide whether he wins a fourth world crown.
