THE State of Origin series opening clash may be on tonight, but one Queensland Oz Lotto player has already scored after he won a $15 million division one prize in last night’s Oz Lotto jackpot draw.
The Gold Coast man, in his 30s, was at work this morning when a Golden Casket official contacted him with the life changing news that he was now a multi-millionaire.
“You are kidding? I’m speechless and feeling a bit numb right now,” the shocked winner confessed.

“I need to call my wife straight away and brighten her day! You’ve got no idea what this means to us and our family.”
“With the State of Origin on tonight, this has got to be a good omen for Queensland! I reckon the score will be 15 million to none,” the ecstatic winner joked.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it was too early to say what he’ll do with his multi-million dollar Oz Lotto windfall.
“I think I’ll sit and chill for a while. I know that I’ll use some of the prize money to help my family.”
The winning System 8 marked ticket was purchased from News Extra Highland Park, Shop 13, 104 – 106 Alexander Drive.
It’s the second time in less than two weeks that News Extra Highland Park has sold a division one winning entry.
Ten days ago, the newsagency sold a division one prize worth $1.1 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw on 17 May 2014.
Oz Lotto’s total division one prize pool of $30 million was shared between two winning entries with one from Queensland and the other winning ticket was purchased by a 16-member work syndicate in Victoria.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1058 on 27 May 2014 were 32, 12, 3, 23, 40, 2 and 19. The supplementary numbers were 6 and 37.
