Gold Coaster suffers multiple injuries after falling 6m down lift shaft
A man is recovering in hospital this morning, after falling several metres down a lift shaft on the Gold Coast early this morning.
Emergency services were called to a gated community along Knightsbridge Parade East in Paradise Point around 4.30 am following reports of the fall.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services recovered a person from the lift shaft of a house under construction.
Paramedics assessed the 45-year-old man for a broken arm and possible leg fractures.
He was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Police say the man’s been issued a notice to appear for trespassing.
