Gold Coasters Pray for Paris at Arts Centre vigil

GOLD Coasters will join the rest of the world in showing its support for France in the wake of the Paris terror attack.

The local French community is holding a vigil at the lake beside the Arts Centre Gold Coast in Evandale from 11am today (Sunday).

Those attending are encouraged to bring a flower to be released into the Nerang River following a minute of silence at midday.

Organiser Audrey Mates-Bill from the Bonjour French Festival, which was held last weekend, has told myGC it’s important we show our support for our friends in Paris.

“We are all very much thinking of them and that is why we have organised this rally today,” Ms Mates-Bill says.
