The Gold Coast will pause today for a minute’s silence for Remembrance Day.
We pause on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month as this is the moment hostilities ceased on the Western Front in 1918 after more than four years of continuous fighting in World War One.
Gold Coasters are encouraged to have a minute’s silence at 11am as a mark of respect to those who have served our nation.
