Gold Coasters urged to have their say on Light Rail Stage 3A – find out how!

Locals are being encouraged to have their say on the proposed route for Stage 3 of the Gold Coast Light Rail, which will potentially see the tram travel from Helensvale all the way to Burleigh Heads.

A number of community drop-in sessions will be taking place on the Gold Coast this month, with the first kicking off at the Burleigh Heads Surf Club from 6pm tonight!

Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said it was important for the community to have an opportunity to comment on the reference design and gain an understanding of the proposed third stage route.

“These drop-in sessions will provide an opportunity for locals to speak with project team members about Stage 3A planning and the current reference design,” Mr Bailey said.

“The community will be able to view maps of the reference design for the proposed route in the centre of the Gold Coast Highway as well as proposed station locations, traffic lanes and intersection changes.”
