Gold Coast’s new Private Hospital welcomes first male, female bubs!

A beautiful baby boy has taken out the coveted title of the first baby to be born at the new Gold Coast Private Hospital.

Arriving at 7.44am, the bundle of joy won by a narrow margin, with a second baby, a little girl, born at the hospital less than 1.5 hours later at 9.10am.

The newborns’ proud parents are now relaxing in the Gold Coast’s newest private maternity ward, which opened its doors today.

The maternity ward is part of the new Gold Coast Private Hospital, which opened on Saturday after all patients, staff and services were relocated from Allamanda.

The new $230-million Healthscope-operated facility is co-located with the Gold Coast University Hospital and forms a major part of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
