Gold Coast SUNS members are in for a treat this summer, with the AFL club launching a plunge pool at Metricon Stadium.
The refreshing new activation, dubbed the “Metricon Plungie Pool Deck” will officially be unveiled at tonight’s game between Richmond and Geelong.
Gold Coast SUNS CEO Mark Evans said the plunge pool is in celebration of the club breaking its membership record and will provide families with the ultimate family day or night out at the footy.

“Where else but the Gold Coast could you enjoy a game of AFL football in a stadium from your own pool deck,” he said.
“The Metricon Plungie Pool Deck will make watching the footy even better for some lucky fans and I am sure once people see it, they are going to want one themselves.”
As a way to say thank you to fans for joining the club, the SUNS have teamed up with The Plunge Pool Company to give one lucky SUNS member their very own “plungie”.
“Our SUNS supporters signed up as members in force this year and gifting one of them a top quality plungie pool is a great way to say thanks,” Mr Evans said.
The 6m x 3m pool and deck was installed in the stadium in just a matter of days and will now provide fans with the ultimate experience to watch and swim on the sidelines.
The pool will feature in the stands until June 2021, when there will be a prize draw and one lucky SUNS member will win their own Plungie, just like the one in the Stadium.
