Grandmother bashed and slashed by grandson
A SYDNEY grandmother has been left has been battered and bruised after being bashed and slashed with a knife by her grandson during a violent fight in her Cambridge Park home yesterday.
Police were called to the 71-year-old woman’s Collier Street home about 1.20pm after a verbal argument between her and her 33-year-old grandson turned physical.
It’s alleged the woman’s grandson slashed her arm with a knife, and bashed her, inflicting numerous lacerations, cuts and bruises, before fleeing the scene.
Police and paramedics were called and the woman was taken by ambulance to Nepean Hospital for treatment.
A crime scene was established at the woman’s home and examined by forensic police.
Investigations into the assault continue.
