Grave fears for Brisbane woman missing after London attack

Fears are growing for a missing Brisbane woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from since she became separated from friends at the scene of the London terror attack.

A family friend posted about the situation on her Facebook page on Monday, appealing for any information about 21-year-old Sara Zelenak.

The post said she usually rang her mother daily but nobody had heard from her since.

“Her phone has rang with no reply and now the battery must have gone,” read the original post, which has since been deleted.

“She is Australian aged 21 with long blonde hair. She calls her mum daily. It’s been over 24 hours with no news from the consulate. We was hoping the 3rd Australian reported would be her, but it’s not.

“She is based in London. Please share with as many people as possible especially if you have friends down south. Thank you for your help.”

Her mother is now heading over to London in a bid to try and find her daughter.

Ms Zelenak had only been in the UK for a couple of months, after moving there to work as an au pair in March.

It’s believed she had been planning to babysit on the night of the attacks but her plans changed last minute and she decided to go out with friends.

It comes after the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister confirmed they had grave concerns for two Australians who were caught up in the attacks but they weren’t able to confirm much detail about either case.
