Grave fears for ‘Glee’ star missing after swimming with 4yo son in LA lake

There are fears Glee actress Naya Rivera has drowned in a lake in California, with a major search underway.

It’s understood the actress, who played Santana Lopez in the musical TV show, rented a boat with her four year old son on Wednesday afternoon.

Local police confirmed they were searching for a possible drowning victim at Lake Piru, north of Los Angeles, before later confirming the person’s identity.

Another boater on the lake had found the rented boat, with the four-year-old still on board.

He told authorities that both his mum and him had gone swimming from the boat, but his mother never got back in the boat.

Authorities spent the rest of the day searching the water for the 33-year-old, before calling it off at nightfall.

Authorities have returned to the lake today, blocking off access to the public, to try and locate the actress.

The Glee cast are no strangers to tragedy, unfortunately, with two other deaths amongst the group previously.

Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Canada back in 2013, after overdosing on heroine and alcohol.

In 2018, Mark Salling died by suicide in Los Angeles, just a month before he was due to be sentenced for possessing child porn.
