Police say they hold grave fears for a three-year-old boy who has gone missing in the north Queensland town of Innisfail.
The boy was last seen playing with other children at Innisfail Wharf between 3.30 and 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and volunteers searched an area near the North Johnstone river area well into the night but found no traces of the young boy.

The search will resume this morning.
Police say they hold serious concerns for his welfare simply due to his age.
He was last seen wearing a green shirt with yellow buttons that had a monster truck logo on the front and green and white board shorts.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the boy’s disappearance but have urged anyone that may have seen him to contact Crime Stoppers immediately on 1800 333 000.
