FORMER world No. 1 golfer Greg Norman has had a close call – almost cutting his hand off with a chainsaw.
Yesterday, the 59-year-old posted a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed to Instagram, showing a heavily bandaged left arm.
He captioned the photo with a warning.

“Always be respectful of the unexpected,” he wrote.
“I was one lucky man today.
“Damaged, but not down and out.
“Still have left hand.” he concluded.
It’s only one week since he posted another photo of himself working with a chainsaw to cut back a tree at his home.
It’s believed he was at his estate on Florida’s Jupiter Island when the incident occurred.
He is now recovering in a US hospital.
After a high-profile career, winning two British Opens and reigning at world No.1 for nearly seven years, Norman now serves as Chairman and CEO of his company Great White Shark Enterprises.
