GRIDLOCK: M1 traffic at a standstill due to ‘police incident’

MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the Pacific Motorway southbound due to a police incident at Tugun.

Traffic is at a complete standstill on the M1, with gridlock all the way from Currumbin down to Tweed Heads.

A NSW police spokesperson told myGC the incident is believed to involve an alleged stolen car.

At least three people, including two men and a woman, have been taken into custody.

Major delays are being experienced in the area with motorists being urged to delay travel.
