Groundwater announces new program four weeks out from festival

With only 4 weeks to go, the countdown is on until Groundwater Country Music Festival kicks off in Broadbeach.

While the pandemic continues to impact borders, organisers have persevered to ensure country music comes back to the Gold Coast, today announcing a new program for the event which will take place from 12 – 14 November.

Joining the line-up are Troy Cassar-Daley, Graeme Connors, Caitlyn Shadbolt, the Hillbilly Goats, Jade Holland, Taylor Moss and many more, adding to The Wolf Brothers, Sara Storer and Casey Barnes who have already been announced.

Festival director, Mark Duckworth, is delighted to be one step closer to bringing Groundwater CMF back to Broadbeach despite the current COVID climate.

“We’ve been unwavering in our persistence to ensure Groundwater returns to the Gold Coast this year. It will be a great end to the year to see Australia’s outstanding country talent back on stage and joining us for this incredible event!”

This year Surf Parade will house the newly titled stage, The Back Road Theatre, which will feature theatre-style seating for patrons to sit and enjoy their favourite country stars.

Meanwhile the Kurrawa Park Stage has also been reimagined in 2021 to allow as many festival attendees to experience the line-up of free country music in a COVID safe manner.

New to the festival in 2021 is Cornhole Arena, a place where attendees can enjoy a social game or two with their friends or verse other attendees.

Plus, those wanting to channel their inner cowboy can try their hand at the all-new 1029 Hot Tomato Bucking Bull, putting their skills on display to see how long they can stay on.

The full program for Groundwater Country Music Festival is now live via the official Groundwater CMF mobile app, or through the website at
