Group armed with a gun and bats storm Rochedale home, injuring four

Four people are in hospital after a group of men stormed a home in Rochedale, south of Brisbane, while armed with guns, bats and a shovel.

It’s understood the group of men entered a Priestdale Road residence around 10pm armed with bats, poles, shovels, and one carrying a handgun.

They allegedly threatened the six occupants of the house- two women aged 46 and 19, and four men aged 56, 50, 22 and 20 – assaulting the four men.

The house was ransacked and the group apparently got away with a motorbike.

The 2016 red Yamaha MT07 motorcycle with Queensland registration 641OJ is still missing.

Police were able to track down two cars that were been used by the group and intercepted one vehicle  in Melbury Road, Browns Plains and the other in Beenleigh-Beaudesert Road, Windaroo.

Seven men – two 20-year-olds from Woodridge and Waterford West, two 22-year-olds from Eagleby and Boronia Heights, two men from Marsden aged 19 and 23, and a 21-year-old man from Springwood – were arrested and are assisting police with their investigations.

The four male occupants of the house were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Logan Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

The motorcycle remains outstanding.
