Group charged following Greenbank raid

THREE men and one woman have been charged after police conducted a large scale raid at Greenbank over the weekend.

Officers allegedly discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and cannabis, cash, gold, diamonds, weapons, ammunition and explosives during Saturday’s raid.

A 51-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession of quantity of drugs, unlawful possession of handgun, possess tainted property and possessing utensils. He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 7.

A 38-year-old man was charged with a number of drug offences including possession and possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under the Drugs Misuse Act. He has also been charged with possessing restricted items, unlawful possession of weapons and possess explosives. He is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 8.

A 44-year-old Greenbank man was also charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils. He was also arrested in relation to a return to prison warrant and has been remanded in custody to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 7.

A 36-year-old woman was also charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils. She is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 7.
