An alleged Gold Coast Nomads associate is due to face Southport Court today after police intercepted his vehicle at Carrara yesterday and discovered drugs and weapons stashed inside.
Police said that around 8.20am, officers intercepted the vehicle on Paddington Drive and that during an initial search of the car, a quantity of ammunition and steroids were located.
The vehicle was then seized and taken to a police holding facility where a further examination was conducted, allegedly locating two shotguns, a stolen rifle and a knife as well as a large quantity of drugs, including 4.5 kg of a white powdery substance secreted in pillow cases.

A handgun was also found concealed inside a door panel of the vehicle.
A 24-year-old Burleigh Waters man was charged with five counts of unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of burglary, unlawful possession of a magazine for weapons, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a restricted drug, receiving tainted property, possessing tainted property, possessing relevant substance or things and carry/place dangerous goods in a vehicle and fail to obtain authority required to possess explosive.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court this afternoon.
