Gunman behind Parramatta shooting named

The 15-year-old gunman behind the Parramatta police station murder has been named as Farad Jabar Khalil Mohammad.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione fronted the media a short time ago and urged the public to remain calm.

The teenager approached NSW Police Charles Street headquarters in Parramatta at around 4:30pm yesterday. He shot finance worker Curtis Cheng, 58, at point-blank range. Security guards and police returned fire, killing Mohammad.
