Gunman on the run after man shot in Brisbane

A gunman is on the run after a ‘targeted’ shooting at a home in Woolloongabba early this morning.

Just before 1am, a number of people turned up at a house on Heaslop Street and became involved in an argument with a resident, a 27-year-old man.

During the argument, a firearm was discharged and the man was shot in the leg.

He was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with a serious injury.

Police say they believe someone in the community knows who is responsible for the injury “and we would like this person to come forward, either anonymously via Crimestoppers or by calling Policelink.”

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
