Gunshot victim found in Logan hotel carpark

An investigation has been launched, after a man was found with gunshot wounds to his stomach and legs in a car park north-west of Beenleigh.

Police say the man drove himself to Fitzy’s Tavern, on Albert Street in Waterford West, around 5.50pm on Friday.

“(He) sought assistance for a number of gunshot wounds to his lower body,” Police said in a statement.

Police and emergency services were called to the hotel and the 25-year-old man was treated at the scene before being transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Two crime scenes were established – one in the carpark of the hotel and a second at a boat ramp at the end of Albert Street.

Nine News reports the man is known to Police and is not cooperating in the investigation.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information that can assist their enquiries into the incident to contact them as investigations are continuing.
