Hawks soar to claim AFL three-peat

FOR THE third-straight year, Hawthorn fans have partied into the night, celebrating their team’s AFL premiership win.

The Hawks soared from the first bounce against West Coast at the MCG yesterday, leading from the first goal to come away 46-point winners, 16.11 (107) to 8.13 (61).

Cyril Rioli won the North Smith Medal as best afield.

A crowd of 98,633 cheered their teams through the record hot temperature of 31.3C on Saturday afternoon before enjoying the on-ground after-party with hit after hit from Candian rocker Bryan Adams.

While English singer Ellie Goulding has hit back at critics of her performance.

Hawks fans will return to the Melbourne Cricket Ground today, for a day of kick-to-kick and photos with a replica premiership cup.

While at Glenferrie Oval, the Hawthorn players will present their real silverware to thousands of supporters.

The premiership cup will also journey to Tasmania on Wednesday to be shown off at community events in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart.
