A wave of Australia’s most regarded health and wellness experts is set to descend on the Gold Coast next month for the inaugural Australian Health & Wellness Summit.
The one day event, which will be held at the Robina Community Centre on September 10, aims to inspire and educate Gold Coasters on how to take control of their health through exercise, proper nutrition, emotional wellness and how science and holistic health can work in unison. Nine guest speakers will take to the stage on the day including doctors, brain specialists and nurses to nutritionists, naturopaths, senior personal trainers and health journalists.
Event organiser, nurse and wellness educator Leanne Hamilton said: “Our panel of speakers are all highly regarded in their respective industries and their presentations are highly informative, to the point and extremely captivating.”

“We carefully chose a variety of speakers to ensure all of the guests are informed on a range of topics and areas in health. To have all of them under the one roof is extremely special. We provide everyone with their own ‘wellness passport’ so that they can take notes and can also liaise with the speakers after the event.
On of the speakers on the day will be Dr Helena Popovic, who is renowned for her scientific expertise on brain function, vibrant physical and mental health and speaking excellence. “She strikes a chord with her audience and delves into how the brain works, how to maintain mental focus and physical energy, how to embrace rather than fear life as well as how to significantly reduce the risk of dementia and slow down the ageing process,” Ms Hamilton said.
In addition to Dr Helena, other guest speakers include health journalist David Gillespie, Naturopath Georgia Harding, senior master trainers Andrew Chadwick and Jan Hutnan, Nutritionist Lee Holmes, health researcher Alexx Stuart, engineer Marty Kendall and Ms Hamilton.
Guests will also be treated to a carefully crafted wholefoods lunch that has been specially created by executive chef and paleo extraordinaire Jenny Zwemer of The Lake at Cabarita. “We have designed the summit to be inspiring, motivating and captivating. In addition to our guests being fuelled with credible information, they will be fuelled with a two-course wholefoods lunch to kick off their new journey then and there,” says Ms Hamilton.
In addition to the speaker summit, the event will also feature a neighbouring health and wellness expo. The expo will feature a range of specialist exhibitors showcasing their latest services, products and merchandise.
