Heartless thief on the run after stealing woman’s handbag at Sydney cemetery

Police are hunting a heartless thief after a woman was allegedly robbed of her handbag while at a cemetery in Sydney’s Northwest.

The theft happened around 3.40pm on Tuesday, while a 52-year-old woman was at Riverstone Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Riverstone.

It’s understood a man approached the woman and removed a handbag from her vehicle.

The woman tried to stop the man, however he pushed her before taking off in a red-coloured hatchback car.

Officers are now hoping to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist them.

He is described as being 30 to 35-year-old, between 170 and 175cm tall with a medium build and was last seen wearing a grey hat and Khaki pants.
