Police appeal after heartless thief steals bag containing life-saving insulin pump
A bag containing a life-saving insulin pump belonging to a 15-year-old boy is believed to have been stolen in Sydney’s west yesterday.
Police say that at around 6.55pm, the boy was at soccer training at Potters Fields at Colyton, when it was noticed his satchel bag went missing while he was on the field.
Inside the bag, which is described as a black and blue coloured Adidas satchel bag, was a black coloured Animas Vibe insulin pump, which the boy has to use every two hours, as he suffers from type-one diabetes.
It also contained a white Apple Iphone 6 and a pair of gloves.
Police believe the bag was stolen, however there is also a possibility it was picked up by mistake.
Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
