Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a wheelchair stolen from a young boy.
Between 11.15pm and 11.35pm on May 4, car keys and other items were stolen from a home in Bracken Ridge, along with a grey Nissan XTrail which had a wheelchair in the back.
Police say the stolen vehicle was later located in Caboolture on May 5, however, the wheelchair was not inside the car.

The wheelchair belongs to the family of a six-year-old boy who suffers from a medical condition, and replacing it would take six months at a cost of $3000, police say.
The wheelchair is used to help the boy avoid muscle fatigue and prevent muscle loss.
