Heartless thieves are on the prowl on the Gold Coast, targeting parcels left outside houses.
Robina Police issued a warning to residents on Tuesday, stating that their have been a spate of Christmas present thefts across the coast and that people should be aware of the dangers of leaving parcels outside.
“You are encouraged to have parcels delivered to work or to use Australia Post parcel pick up boxes,” police said in a statement.

“Members of our community should also be aware that failure to lock your letterbox can result in the loss of important personal information.”
“At busy times of the year such as Christmas and tax time, your letter box becomes a target and your valuable presents and gift cards can go missing and personal information can be stolen and used as a means to steal your identity.”
