A Helensvale man has been charged over the violent break-in and robbery of a home at Highland Park.
Police said two men, one armed with a gun, allegedly forced their way into the home on Kilpatrick Court just after 11.20pm on Saturday July 29.
“A male occupant of the residence was struck with a pair of bolt cutters which caused a severe laceration to his forearm which required hospital treatment,” Gold Coast police said in a statement.

“It will be further alleged one man rummaged through the rooms and removed property.”
Following a investigations, a 29-year-old Helensvale man was arrested and charged with enter dwelling with intent and armed robbery in company personal violence.
He appeared in court, where he was remanded in custody to reappear on September 5.
Police say investigations are continuing.
