Nurses across the world are being celebrated today for the incredible work they do as part of International Nurses Day.

But with so many fabulous nurses working tirelessly here on the Gold Coast, they deserve recognition on more than just one day of the year.

As Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Cameron Dick said today, “These amazing health workers truly put the ‘care’ in the word ‘career’ as nurses.”

Nurses and midwives have a large impact on patient safety and better healthcare outcomes for patients.

That’s where the 1029 Hot Tomato Gold Coast Nursing Awards comes in.  The awards give locals the opportunity to nominate a nurse who has made a difference in their lives.
