Hendra virus case confirmed in north Queensland

A HORSE has died after being infected with Hendra Virus in north Queensland.

ABC news reports that this is the first case of Hendra virus detected in Queensland this year.

The Atherton Tablelands property where the horse resided has been quarantined in wake of the horses death this week.
