Gold Coast motorists are being urged to fill up the tank as soon as possible, with petrol prices on the rise – AGAIN.
It’s understood the city could see a price hike of as much as 30 cents a litre in the coming days.
It comes after fuel companies bumped up the price of unleaded petrol in Brisbane yesterday, and began raking in retail margins of more than 30 cents per litre.

RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith is urging drivers to snap up remaining cheap deals while they were still on offer.
“Fuel follows a very distinct and predictable cycle, and we’re expecting areas that border Brisbane, like Ipswich and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, to hike in the coming days,” Ms Smith said.
“It means now is the best time to fill the tank and take advantage of the bargains currently available.”
Drivers are being urged to use apps and websites available, like RACQ’s Fair Fuel Finder, to find the lowest prices.
