Queensland Police are offering motorcyclists the chance to win some great new gear, if they take part in their road safety campaign this weekend.
We’re coming up on Queensland Road Safety Week, and Gold Coast police are joining forces with other government agencies to raise awareness of motorcycle safety.
In particular, they’ll be focused on the Hinterland roads, with ‘Operation North Upright’ to be conducted in Numinbah this weekend.

Motorcyclists are invited to stop for a chat about road safety with experienced motorcycle officers from the Road Policing Command and other emergency services.
Plus, just for stopping and having a chat, you’ll receive a free raffle ticket to go in the draw to win a variety of motorcycle gear including ‘Axo’ motorcycle boots, ‘Five’s’ motorcycle gloves and a ‘Motul’ chain cleaning kit.
Officer in Charge of Nerang Station, Senior Sergeant Peter Gordon, said community engagement is an important part of the operation.
“This event is about the motorcycle enthusiast community having a chance to talk to police, to share their concerns and ask questions.
“Road safety is for everyone and this ongoing operation continues to provide positive message in the community around road safety.
“This event has grown year by year and is very well supported by our local motorcycle dealerships and all the various motorcycle clubs with the Gold Coast District,” Senior Sergeant Gordon said.
