More heroes on their way to the Gold Coast

As our Commonwealth Games sporting heroes head home, they might just be high-fiving another realm of heroes at the airport.

Although, this next batch may not need to catch a plane here…

Broadbeach is set to become the mecca for Comic Con & Gaming Expo fans as the world of sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming and nostalgia are brought to life in the city over the 27th, 28th and 29th of April.

Streets, parks, libraries and shopping centres will emulate the Superhero genre’s most loved comics, books, TV shows, films and cos play characters.

The Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Expo will be the only paid event for the weekend, other than that, all activities on offer are completely free!

On Friday and Saturday night, evening movie lovers will be treated to a silent film experience with Anime classics screened in the Broadbeach Mall.

If you’d prefer to let out your darker side, head up to NightQuarter at Helensvale with your inner zombie and join in their Zombie Walk with live music, zombie make up booths, bands and freaky entertainment.

For the little ones, Gold Coast City Libraries have created an exciting Super Hero Program and a host of other activities for the whole family as well.

Days of intense superhero activity will then culminate in Australia’s only Supanova Superhero Parade on Sunday April 29 in Broadbeach, before the Superheroes depart again for another year!
