High Flyer Comes Crashing Down

AUTHORITIES say they are now targeting white-collar professionals who help criminals invest dirty money.

A Gold Coast property agent has become the first to be charged under the state’s anti-bikie laws.

High flying Gold Coast agent Garry Raymond Green has been charged with drug trafficking. He’s also been accused of helping marijuana dealers invest their illegal fortunes.

Green says he strenuously denies the allegations.

The charges come as police push to use anti-bikie laws against professionals who knowingly help criminals.

The Courier Mail reports Detective Inspector Terry Lawrence, of Maxima gang squad as saying, “It could be lawyers, it could be accountants, it could be real estate agents.”

Green faces 15 years in jail if convicted.
