TWO men have been arrested following a dramatic police chase north of the Gold Coast this morning. 

Police began chasing the suspected stolen ute at Woodridge after the police helicopter spotted suspicious around the parked car.

News helicopter’s tracked the alleged thieves, capturing the bright orange vehicle evading officers through the streets of Inala and Oxley.

During the ordeal, the driver slammed into a police car, drove into oncoming traffic, mounted the footpath a number of times, sped through residential areas and ignored several stop signs.

Officers deployed stingers in the hope of stopping the car, however were unsuccessful.

One suspect was arrested on Freeman Road after the two men jumped from the moving vehicle. The second occupant was detained nearby a short time later. Thankfully, no one was injured.
