Police investigate Sydney road rage attack

Police are appealing for information following an alleged road rage incident in Sydney’s inner west.

Shortly after 11pm on Tuesday night a man was driving his Holden Commodore along Parramatta Road, Ashfield, when he noticed a Chrysler sedan following him.

At the intersection of Parramatta Road and Wattle Street, it will be alleged several males inside the Chrysler began to verbally abuse the man and throw objects at his car.

The man continued driving along City West Link with the vehicle continuing to follow.

Police have been told when the man reached the intersection of Balmain Road, four men got out of the Chrysler and started kicking his car and breaking the mirrors, before driving off.

Ambulance Paramedics treated the man at the scene for shock.

Officers attached to Leichhardt Local Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.
